The Second Temple of Jerusalem is destroyed

In addition to the terrible violence, the Jewish people must find a way to worship God outside of Levidic Law's prescriptions.  How will they sacrifice and satisfy God's wrath on their sins?

A desperate and now lost people struggle in a chaotic society that is breaking down around them.
